Monday comes each and every week whether I’m ready for it or not! Can I get an AMEN?! This morning started off very exciting as my husband and I prepared to take our boy to his first-ever, baseball camp. I know I was just as nervous and
excited as my son was and I LOVE that together, we talked about our feelings all the way to the ball field. When we arrived at camp, my little man found a spot in the dugout where he changed into his baseball spikes and off he went. Oh, yes this Mama-heart was more than full as I left my boy with a slew of other young fellas and more-than-capable, adult coaches….but not before I applied his sunscreen. What….? He’s very fair-skinned! 😉
We are transitioning into our evening now and before my husband’s softball games, we’re going to enjoy some homemade pizza bagels and tomato & avocado salad—hopefully followed by some fro-yo after the softball games! The pizza bagels are super easy to make and the kids love to help. Toppings are what ever you typically like on your pizza-pie; green peppers, banana peppers, pepperoni, sausage, etc. The possibilities are endless. Clean-up is a snap as well, if you line your baking sheet with foil. Done and YUM!
Now that dinner is taken care of, let’s talk about a recent purchase I made from Kohls—Tees and my new fave capris!!! I had a birthday reward just burning a hole in my Kohls App Wallet and I decided to spend it on a pair of black capris. I purchased the Women’s Apt. 9 Millennium Pull-On Capri Dress Pants. They are currently on sale for $24.99! The added bonus is finding a coupon on Retailmenot.com! I also purchased a Women’s SONOMA Goods for Life Essential Marled V-Neck Tee, which is now on sale for just $6.99. The color is great, it washed up well and the V isn’t too low-cut. I just love a good Tee-Shirt.
I’m really glad you stopped by the blog today and I pray you are at peace in your heart with all you’ve gotten accomplished today. Summer-time can be so rewarding with memories made that will last a life-time. But Summer-time can also be a challenge. New seasons can be a challenge. I hope, if you’re in a new season or phase of life, you are experiencing the joys they can bring. I know all too well, that sometimes new seasons start off bumpy and full of questions. If this is you today, I hope and pray you begin to, through the power of Jesus, receive the renewed strength and grace you so desire. Remember, God is for us—not against us—and He desires for us all to rise above. Depend on Him, friends; He is capable and oh, so faithful.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God…” -Hebrews 12:1-2
Thanks for gathering,
